Ryan

PR & Media Manager

Ryan joined Brighter Directions’ PR team formally in 2015, following a University Placement experience program, graduating with both a 2:1 in Print Journalism qualification, as well as developing his skills through commercial PR training with the CIPR.

He brings a welcome fresh approach to modern media communications, and our team, which has enabled us to adapt, using new technology and offer a more rounded approach to managing client media campaigns globally – lead by the initiative of Ryan.

Ryan has always had a passion for media communications, which is perfectly placed for his role to manage clients PR and Communications campaigns, working alongside the PR team to build strong relationships with the local and national media contacts and journalists.

His day to day activities include running our busy PR function, and working with our professional media communications team collaboratively to deliver successful PR campaigns internationally.

Ryan works on all media communications strategies, including traditional PR tactics like content creation, story profiling, media distribution projects and management as well as working with an array of editors and journalists to secure PR opportunities for our growing client base, specialising within the SME remit.

On a personal level…

Ryan comes across as quietly confident at first, he’s definitely not the first up on the karaoke but is always the first to put his hands-up for projects in the office and is one of the most effective PR people we have met – preferring to get cracking on generating coverage for his clients instead of telling everyone about it!

Outside of work Ryan enjoys socialising with friends and is an avid movie goer (or watching films at home), as one of his strongest passions and way to relax.

When he’s not sat watching films, he is the opposite end of the scale keeping up his fitness, his favourite route being running around the beautiful parks of Nottingham.
