Managing Director Claire Curzon is the proud sole-owner of Brighter Directions, after leaving her corporate career behind in 2005 she ventured out to start her own marketing agency and hasn’t looked back since!

With an extensive c-suite marketing and sales background spanning over twenty years, Claire built the company on a foundation of demonstrated commercial expertise, a strong passion for ethics in the highly competitive sales and marketing industry and a talent for leadership that means, quite simply we have the best people in our organisation, who are not only highly skilled but also incredibly dedicated to personal service and care.

Claire has a natural passion for business and even more so for delivering consistent excellence for our loyal client base, spanning over 800 clients and achieving a 98% retention rate on contract clients over the past ten years.

For her, and the rest of the team, it’s not good enough to just deliver a service remit, her attitude towards ‘perfectionality’ means that as a relatively small agency, everyone is expected to go above and beyond – and that very standard is what’s positioned Brighter Directions at the forefront of the marketing industry and led to numerous awards over our history!

Her Role

Claire is very much a hands-on director within the company and ensures she always leads by example (even if that’s making the tea)! Day to day Claire is responsible for overall team leadership as well as project management of all large contract clients and campaigns.

You’ll often find Claire working directly on client communication campaigns within the PR & Media comms teams, tapping up her extensive media network, or advising on social campaigns as well as juggling a host of strategic or operational tasks to ensure Brighter Directions is always a smooth running ship!

Claire is a fully qualified trainer and accredited consultant as well as a strong advocate for business, being a key voice lobbying alongside the UK Chamber of Commerce, LEPs and on the trustee board of various non-profit enterprises she is passionate about, such as employability and mentoring young people of the future nationally.

When you meet Claire the thing you will notice most (apart from her bossy nature), is that she loves people and will always try and offer the best possible advice for clients businesses, regardless of the commercial fit in ours!

On a personal level…

When she’s not busy bossing people around the office (or clients), you’ll either find her dedicating time to her local employability charity or mentoring an entrepreneur of the future – having a real passion and love of people means that she’s never far away from supporting the local community be it talks at schools, mentoring long-term unemployed or dedicating herself to reduce unemployment rates in minorities across the region.

When she does actually take time away from work, Claire is also a dedicated mum who loves spending time with scenic walks (with her trustee Labrador dog) in the local Peak District or Derbyshire – after all, we don’t live on one of the most beautiful places on earth to not appreciate it, do we!?
